Carlo Cristobal


Carlo is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at Baylor College of Medicine and the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital. His work focuses on understanding cellular mechanisms of nervous system development. He has collaborated with Rice University’s Chemistry department to develop materials for nerve regeneration. In 2020 he founded GradMAP Philippines, a global volunteer mentorship organization helping students from his home country pursue higher education in STEM. Outside of work, he loves reading history books, running, and singing.
