Carlos is currently working as a postdoctoral associate at Baylor College of medicine. He has studied the presymptomatic detection of prion disease in wild and captive deer. His work in collaboration with the USDA has been published in important scientific journals and now he wants to develop new technologies for the early diagnosis and treatment of patients. He is originally from Chile a received his Biochemistry degree from the Austral University of Chile. He enjoys his free time traveling and trying new food. Passionate about nature, meditation, wildlife, dogs, Formula 1 racing and EDM music.
