Eleana Rizou

Senior Vice President

Eleana is a sixth-year PhD candidate at Rice University, currently conducting research in the Warmflash lab. Her doctoral work focuses on early human embryogenesis spanning from gastrulation to neurulation. She is using human embryonic stem cells and 2D micropattern embryoids as a model system to interrogate the spatial patterning and signaling dynamics of human embryos. In addition to her research pursuits, Eleana possesses a keen interest in academic teaching and has served as an instructor of record for an undergraduate course at Rice University and Rice Tapia summer camps. She is a keen reader of history and loves singing and painting with acrylics.
