Alexandra Garza

Alex is a fifth year PhD candidate at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research focuses on Parkinson’s Disease and the role that mutations in alpha-synuclein play in a novel Parkinson’s mouse model. Her work focuses on the development of hyposmia in prodromal Parkinson’s, as well as any neural circuitry changes that may be occurring. In her spare time, Alex enjoys traveling, cooking, and needlepoint.
